I've never really been a fan of red plaid clothing, because it always reminds me of the Brawny man! It usually only looks good on lumberjacks or children posing for Holiday pictures.
However, my opinion of red plaid changed after I saw this picture of Khloe Kardashian at the airport.
I love this plaid tunic paired with black leggings, fabulous Louboutin suede booties and a studded purse! Her ensemble is chic, yet casual and comfy without looking too frumpy -- which is perfect for traveling. Nothing is worse than being stuck at the airport in something that is uncomfortable.
On Monday my flight was delayed 7 hours, and I wore a horrible pair of deceptively uncomfortable flats. I was so mad at myself for wearing them, so they will be donated to Goodwill or Salvation Army this weekend!!
Anywho, back to the post...
I noticed that plaid, specifically red/black plaid, is out in full force this Fall/Winter so I'm going to take baby steps towards adding pieces to my wardrobe. I think I'll begin with a scarf or headband and then work my way up from there.

I noticed a lot of plaid when I was out shopping last weekend. It reall has to be done right to look good. All of the pieces you posted look cute but there were some awful looking plain old shapeless button ups that didn't really look like they were long enough to wear with leggings.
I love plaid a lot but the only plaid in my closet is my red plaid shoes.lol It sure looks great on Khloe Kardarshian, I love the collections you put together expecially the ones from forever21.

Oh I love that Forever 21 jacket and the Arden B dress. It is really too cute. I recently got a purple and black plaid blouse with a few ruffles on the front and I've been wearing it with black pants to work. I like the red though, especially for this time of year.
