One particular style that's chic, classy and perfect for any festive occasion is the one shoulder. I'd really like to find a dress in this style for my bf's party, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Below are a few one shoulder dresses and blouses that I absolutely love.
Banana Republic Asymmetrical Ruffle Dress. I love the ruffles!

Banana Republic Asymmetrical Ruffle Blouse - I love this blouse paired with a pencil skirt or slacks for an evening out.

The Limited Draped Definition Dress - I love everything about this dress, especially the color!

The Limited One Shoulder Dress - Very festive and the silhouette looks quite flattering.

The Limited Glam One Shoulder Top - This top is perfect for taking you from a day at the office to an happy hour.

What are your thoughts on recycling clothing? Since we're in a recession, is it okay to wear one dress to several holiday parties, as long as you switch up the accessories/shoes/hair/makeup/etc? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.

The title of your post here reminded me of this contest that Jergens is doing... http://www.youtube.com/jergens You can win a $5,000 talent contract and a trip to NYC if you submit a video.
I love the red shoulder dress so much, very nice for the holiday. I think it's ok to recycle ones clothing but have a plan. You don't want it to seem obvious that you repeating clothes, you have to dress it up with new accessories to different parties. The best bet is to avoid parties where you have to meet the same folks twice. You know, people observe when you wearing the same clothes especially if it has bold colors like red, blue and silver. Anything black can be easily recycled knowing everyone has a good black dress.
They look gorgeous! I like all of them =D
I think it's okay to recycle dresses! Like seriously, would you spend your hard earned cash on a dress that you'll just wear for a few hours?? -.-
