I have a few ?'s...

I know that Summer is all about bright, bold and sunny colors and although I love wearing hot pinks and corals I just love the look of dark, vampy nails. Short to mid-length dark nails provide a bit of chic sophistication that just can't be met by brighter shades.

I usually wear dark nail polish during the colder months, and I wasn't sure if there was any sort of 'rule' when it came to wearing dark nail colors during the Spring and Summer months so I wanted to know what you guys thought! Are dark nails appropriate for just about any time of the year, or do you think they should only be worn during the Fall and Winter?

Below I have featured a few dark OPI shades that I think are great for the Summer. They all almost look like black, but once the light hits them their unique color is revealed.

Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow (Spain Collection) - A interesting and unusual hunter green shade. I think this is one of the most unique green nail colors within the 'nail polish world'. My other favorite green shade from OPI, is Jade Is the New Black from the 2010 S/S Hong Kong Collection.

Lincoln Park After Dark
(Chicago Collection) - A gorgeous deep eggplant shade. This is one of my absolute favorite nail colors, and reportedly one of the best selling OPI nail lacquers!

Ink (Night Brights Collection) - A pretty blue-violet shade with subtle shimmer.

When it comes to online shopping, I have a love-hate relationship! I can only seem to successfully make online purchases when one of the following conditions applies:

1. I have tried the item on in- store, and I know the exact size that I need.
2. I have purchased an item online from a large retailer that has easily accesible stores within my area.

My more recently found online gem, is ASOS, which is an online UK based cloting store. I have been looking at quite a few things on the ASOS website for awhile now, and I absolutely love all of their dresses. I am just a tad bit hesitant to buy anything from them, because usually if I purchase things online they never look the way that they appear online, or the fit is completely off and then it takes forever to get a refund and it's just one big headache! I want to know if any of you have ever purchased anything from ASOS and if so how was the customer service, garment quality and fit?

Thank you in advance for your answers!

Stay Bronzed and Beautiful!

  1. I know what you mean about online shopping! Uggg...I try on EVERYTHING when I buy in store so it's tough to buy blindly.

  3. I love dark vampy colours too, but personally they can make me feel hot for some reaon if its a particularly hot day. (Although being in the UK that isn't all that often!) I do tend though to stick to lighter colours in the warmer months, but I don't believe there is a hard and fast rule at all, wear what you like, thats always best.

As for ASOS sorry I haven't ordered online from them xx

  4. I have Here today... aragon tomorrow. Personally, I wouldn't wear it in the summer. I love BRIGHT shades in the spring and summer.

Online shopping is my bad habit. I love to shop online more than in-store. I hate dealing with long lines, crowds, dressing rooms etc. It's so convenient

  5. l love Aragon tomorrow, l still have the one you gave me, I used it yesterday to celebrate with my sister's birthday on my toes, it's a great nail polish for fall and summer toes. The color looks black after sometime, so it is completely fine by me. How have you been?
