I do heart my boyfriend but I heart boyfriend jeans as well!

Boyfriend Jeans are all the rage, and the perfect addition to any fashionistas wardrobe for the Spring and Summer. I purchased my first pair of boyfriend jeans from LOFT (formerly know as Ann Taylor LOFT) and I absolutely love them!

Boyfriend jeans give any outfit a cool and laid back look and are quite the comfy, yet on trend look when worn with a tank and ballet flats. But when paired with heels and a blazer the ensemble takes on a completely new look that is chic and sophisticated without looking too fussy.

There are several styles of boyfriend jeans, but the most popular ones are distressed and should have a slouchy look to them – like you just pulled them out of your boyfriend’s closet! They are usually rolled up to about mid-calf to resemble ankle pants, but they can always be worn rolled down. The boyfriend jeans that I recently purchased are a lean fit and have an overall slimmer silhouette to them, which is better for those that are more on the petite side.

Nude Attitude!

As Spring nears many of us will be updating our wardrobes with lighter and softer shades. One area that many seem to neglect when updating their wardrobe for Spring, is the shoe department. While introducing shades of blush, peach and lavender into your closet this Spring, pairing a nude shoe with a pastel is the perfect combination for a classic, yet on trend look.

Nudes can range in shade from bone to deep taupe, and can even have grey undertones! The best thing about nude shoes is that they can easily transition from Spring to Summer, as they also look great with bright colors and prints! And if you are going for a more demure look, nude shoes also look fabulous with basic black, navy, cream and ivory ensembles.

The 82nd Academy Awards Red Carpet Style

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards have just finished wrapping up, and there are many celebrities out celebrating their big win this evening. Although I love going to the movies, this is not my favorite award show to watch…but I certainly love tuning in to the pre-show to see what everyone is wearing on the red carpet!




This year there were not too many standouts, in my opinion. I was however especially drawn to the gowns in the gold/champagne color family and they were some of my favorites!

As far as makeup went, the majority seemed to steer away from the usual smokey eye look, minus Nicole Richie, who wore a smokey gunmetal shadow on her lids to compliment her gown.

Most celebs went with a natural, not too fussy look and opted for golden lids paired with nude lips and glowing skin – with the exception of Sandra Bullock who wore hot pink lipstick and Cameron Diaz, who went ultra glam with red lips!

One of the most highly anticipated nominations this year, was for the movie Precious. The movie was based off of the novel Push, by Sapphire. I noticed that many of the Precious cast wore royal/sapphire blue gowns. Perhaps it was in honor of Sapphire!

Fab Find Friday!

I am always of the hunt for a great bargain, and I always love to share whenever I find something great. I did a little bit of shopping yesterday and today and came across two great finds at Ross!




I purchased this gorgeous white leather Michael Kors watch from last season at Ross for a fraction of the original retail price (under $90!) It is very similar to this S/S 2010 Michael Kors watch, and the watch that I purchased is still available on Zappos and Amazon.




I love just about everything that Michael Kors puts out! I've been obsessed with his watches for the longest time and I plan on eventually getting both gold and silver Michael Kors watches, so I'm happy to have purchased my very first Michael Kors watch for such a great price. I love the look of a white watch in Spring and Summer months, and I know this watch will definitely be used quite a bit for the next few years.

The other great find were these Boutique 9 Lazer boots for only $22 at Ross!!!
They are still available on Shoes.com in black suede, but at Ross they only had them in 'regular' leather, and I snatched them up as soon as I saw them!

It was a bit of an impulse purchase, so now that I have them at home I'm not 100% sure if I want to keep them or not. Has that ever happened to you? Don't you hate when that happens?!

I think they're gorgeous, and for $22 they're a great deal but I don't know if they're completely my style. I find that they make my calves look a bit stocky and undefined because they stop mid-calf. I think I'm going to see if my Mom can wear them, and possibly think about them some more before I make the final decision to return or keep them.


Another fab find that I made a few weeks ago was at T.J. Maxx, when I scored these fabulous Stuart Weitzman sandals for $59!



These Stuart Weitzman Gladly sandals originally retailed for $365, and they are currently marked down to $189 on Zappos. I can't wait until it's warmer so I can wear them with dresses, skirts, shorts and rolled up boyfriend jeans -- a look that I plan on finally trying out within the next few weeks.

Ah, how I love T.J. Maxx, Ross and Marshalls! They can be hit or miss at times, but usually they are the perfect places to shop for quality items on a budget.

Look for Less: Gucci

Now that March has arrived, Spring is technically supposed to be right around the corner – but with the Winter weather that we’ve been having it is quite hard to believe that sentiment to be true!

I am very excited about the impending warmer weather, and the fabulous open toed sandals that accompany such weather. I am totally in love with the various designer shoes that have made their way down the runways recently, but I am on a budget so I am always looking for a designer deal or something that is just as good as the real thing!
